A Style Journey Through Her New York Press Junket for ‘Emily In Paris’

Lily Collins has been on a whirlwind press junket for ‘Emily in Paris.’ Since Monday, she’s delivered ten standout looks that reflect both her character’s love for fashion and her own evolving style. With each appearance, Lily has proven she’s willing to take risks and push boundaries, making her red carpet moments a must-watch.

Lily started the week bold with a burgundy croc leather crop top and ruffled skirt from Nina Ricci’s Fall 2024 collection (evoking her Givenchy look in Rome). Some may say it was too daring for morning television, but considering ‘Emily in Paris’ is about fashion (as much as the love story), this statement look was a perfect choice. The burgundy Saint Laurent pumps added an elegant touch.

For her next appearance, Lily toned things down with a more classic, burgundy suit from the same Nina Ricci collection with wide lapels giving it a coat-like feel. Some might say that this look should have easily been her GMA look. However, the unpredictability is exactly why she’s working with stylist Andrew Mukamal—she keeps us guessing.

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

You can never go wrong with an LBD, and Lily did just that in a Versace Resort 2025 asymmetric midi dress. Fun, sexy, and demure all at once, this look was perfect for a late-night talk show which she styled with Manolo Blahnik’s classic BB pumps.

Later that same evening, Lily opted for another Versace dress that was both on-trend and daring. Some might discount the sheerness, but this is sheer done right in my opinion. The Versace shoes would not have been my first choice here, but they added a point of difference from the Manolo Blahnik pumps which have dominated this tour.

New York Photocall

Lily’s Rabanne Pre-Fall 2024 look at the photocall was one of her standouts for me, with a shimmering silver mesh top and black skirt exuding effortless cool-girl vibes that almost feel Bollywood inspired. Manolo Blahnik sandals completed the look.

Watch What Happens Live

For this appearance, Lily went playful in a grey Gucci wool playsuit paired with Christian Louboutin Astrilarge Botta boots. While she nailed the look with the choker, I would be curious how this look would have fared with a pair of grey boots.

Hotel Exit

Offering some Fall inspiration, Lily stepped out in a Saint Laurent heritage blazer paired with jeans and a black crop top. The shades of tonal brown, navy, and green gave this outfit a retro yet refined feel.

The Kelly Clarkson Show

Lily’s second Rabanne look of the week featured a sheer embellished tunic top, but the green cargo skirt paired with it left me wanting more cohesion. Still, her Manolo Blahnik Leva sandals were a hit.

SAG-AFTRA Arrival

For one of my favourite looks of the week, Lily donned a Magda Butrym black leather jacket and brown trousers, topped off with Saint Laurent shades. The chic, effortless appeal of this look stood out.

Lily closed the week in a tulle and velvet off-the-shoulder mini dress from Alessandra Rich, paired with Manolo Blahnik pumps and tights, perfectly closing her fashionable week.

Aside from the green cargo shorts, Lily Collins didn’t put a foot wrong during her press junket. What stands out most is how cohesive and consistent her looks were throughout the week. Unlike some stars who seem to be in a competition with themselves to outdo their previous look (I’m looking at you, Blake Lively), Lily’s style felt carefully curated rather than a series of one-upmanship.

Lily embraced a steady flow of chic, edgy looks that felt interconnected without trying too hard. Her approach was more about maintaining a signature vibe than delivering a series of shock-value outfits.

Each look was styled with Cartier jewels.
