This November, a new free, hands-on series in Cincinnati will help the community explore sustainable solutions to combat the fast-fashion crisis.
CIRCLE is a collaborative initiative made up of Goodwill Industries, the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP), UC Sustainable Fashion Institute, Flywheel and Sew Valley, with the goal of advancing circular economy solutions in the fashion and apparel industry. The collaborative is launching Rewoven, a series of workshops and discussions that use creative, community-focused solutions to promote circularity in fashion.
“The fashion industry faces critical sustainability challenges, and Rewoven offers practical solutions and collaborative opportunities to create lasting change,” CIRCLE said in a press release. “Every participant who attends makes a difference in building a more sustainable future. Through CIRCLE’s partnership network, attendees will gain valuable insights from industry leaders, learn hands-on skills, and connect with a community dedicated to transforming how we design, produce and consume fashion.”
Rewoven will feature three events:
