Rihanna, who is expecting her third child, added a new pair of shoes to her maternity shoe wardrobe. For an outing in Los Angeles on Sunday, the singer wore a pair of Jimmy Choo‘s Romy snakeskin-embossed, pointed-toe pumps, which peeked through an ultra baggy pair of blue jeans.

The pumps are made from shiny gray and cream python skin leather. The heels featured a pointed toe and were created with a kitten heel, though Rihanna’s heel height wasn’t visible because of her wide-leg pants.
The singer paired the heels with a gray crewneck sweater with a fur draped over her shoulders. Styled by Jahleel Weaver, she wore a Renato Cipullo Splendente “R” pendant and Briony Raymond New York Sloan diamond studs.
Snake print and python skin footwear have been a go-to for Rihanna this year. Although she often reaches for Amina Muaddi’s Barbara 105mm snake print leather mary jane pumps or the footwear designer’s Barbara boot, this time around she went for Jimmy Choo.
The snake print shoe has been trending this year for both men and women, appearing on the runway with Miu Miu debuting snakeprint sneakers in their fall 2025 show. Jimmy Choo released its The Archive collection earlier this year, featuring a snakeprint boot that Sarah Jessica Parker wore in May while promoting Season Three of “And Just Like That.” The neutral print goes well with this summer’s trending colors like butter yellow and baby blue, and it also pairs well with darker hues, making it perfect for winter footwear.
“Snakeskin shoes evoke feelings of empowerment, allure and sensuality, depending on the wearer,” stylist Philippe Uter told Footwear News. “Making them not just a trend, but a bold and sexy reflection of personal identity.”
Rihanna has been wearing Jimmy Choo shoes since the start of her career, but has also shown a preference for other designers like Christian Louboutin, Dsquared, Manolo Blahnik, and more. Her love for heels and shoes, and being a trendsetter in the footwear space, led her to launch her own collaboration with Blahnik in 2016 and her own Fenty x Puma line.
