On the Fourth of July, most people will almost certainly be wearing some form of red, white, or blue. The annual Uncle Sam Jam in High Point is no exception. During the event, people from across the Triad show off their best stars and stripes outfits. WXII 12 News went around the event looking for some of the most patriotic outfits. However, she said one of her best pieces was the hat she was wearing: a stars-and-stripes-brimmed hat.“I like the Fourth of July. I like the spirit that it brings and the gathering,” Brooks said. “The hat, I like that too. One woman, Hannah Buterbaugh, wore red, white, and glittery blue eyeshadow for the occasion. “I did it on the way here,” she said. “But I just wanted to make sure I had white and blue, and I had some sparkly blue, so I put that on.”Watch: NOWCAST streaming newscastsShe also sported a flag-patterned dress, America-themed cupcake earrings, a USA headband and two American flags tucked into her hair. She and Brooks both said they enjoy dressing up for the holiday.“To express myself,” Buterbaugh said. “And I just feel more myself that way.”“It makes you feel good,” Brooks said. “You feel like you’re a part of something.”However, there was one man at Uncle Sam Jam who quite literally rose above the rest: Uncle Sam himself.Sporting a blue button-down shirt, a red vest, a top hat and long red and white-striped pants, Uncle Sam had perhaps the most patriotic outfit of the day. “This is what I like to call my business-casual Uncle Sam.
