A New York-based women’s fashion brand known for its simple, stylish pieces has opened a Palm Beach location that combines boutique shopping with art-gallery space.
TWP, founded by fashion designer Trish Wescoat Pound in 2021, made its island debut in The Royal Poinciana Plaza.
The space, previously occupied by Onna House, showcases TWP’s collections of tailored shirts, trousers, evening separates and casual sportswear as well as artwork by women artists.
The brand has partnered with Onna House, a gallery and creative space in East Hampton, N.Y., founded by Palm Beach homeowner Lisa Perry, who is dedicated to promoting the work of female artists and designers.
TWP curates a selection of works for each of its seven stores, including its flagship location in New York City.
“It is our aim to support Onna House in their mission, giving greater representation to these artists,” Pound told the Daily News. “A deep appreciation for female creativity is the driving force behind our collaboration with Onna House.”
The Palm Beach store, at 50 Cocoanut Row, showcases quilting by Regina Durante Jestrow and hand-built ceramics by Landis Carey. All pieces are for sale.
Since launching TWP in New York’s SoHo neighborhood, Pound has expanded the brand to six additional locations, including Sag Harbor and Southampton, N.Y., plus Dallas, Los Angeles and Aspen. The Palm Beach store opened Nov. 6.
Pound noted that Palm Beach was a logical choice for an expansion location because many of the brand’s customers spend their winters there.
“We want to bring TWP to our customer, following her seasonal rhythms, opening in the locations she naturally migrates to in the winter,” she said. “Opening here allows us to meet her exactly where she is, with pieces designed for every aspect of her life.”
Pound calls TWP her version of American sportswear, with collections inspired by workwear, men’s tailoring, and the fast pace of New York City.
Pieces include tops, blazers, denim pieces, pants, knitwear, outerwear, suiting, belts, dresses and skirts,
“Quality and craftsmanship are integral to every TWP collection,” Pound said. “Fabrics are sourced from the finest mills that have been working for generations. I work with a small team of artisans and craftspeople to locally create collections in New York City, from concept to pattern-making, fabric cutting and sewing.”
Pound said she was excited to be on the island and to serve clients who already consider Palm Beach home.
Her immediate goal is to create a welcoming environment and connect with customers, while her long-term goal is to make the Palm Beach store a leading retail spot.
“In the short term, our focus is on establishing a strong presence by building genuine connections and creating a welcoming environment,” she said. “Long-term, we aim to become a leading retail destination in the community, serving our customers, connecting with local women, collaborating with partners and giving back in meaningful ways.”
Store hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. More information is available at TWPClothing.com.
