Oliver Peoples is paying homage to actor, philanthropist, race car driver and style inspiration Paul Newman with a new collection as part of the American luxury label’s spring 2026 curation.
Known for his idiosyncratic easy elegance, Paul Newman’s sunglasses were a key accessory, whether the “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” star was on set or on the race track. Oliver Peoples’ Paul Newman and Paul Newman Sun frames were crafted by the brand to evoke that same cool sophistication.

Oliver Peoples’ Paul Newman frames are a distinct addition to the luxury brand’s estate collection, featuring such pairs inspired by other celebrated stars of the classic Hollywood era like Gregory Peck and Cary Grant, among others.
The frames are crafted in Japan and feature a distinct teardrop lens shape — a reference to Newman’s own famous sunglasses. The lens for the designs are highlighted by a bold acetate design with custom details and a dominant color palette. Exclusive details include a dedicated metal temple cap featuring an engraved “PLN” — Newman’s initials — and a custom engraved corewire with a pattern inspired by details found on the actor’s racing helmet.
